Ballet C 2015 – 2016

For 2015 – 2016, Ballet C & D will meet together on Mondays.

Ages 9 – 11   (4th  – 6th Grade ) with previous ballet training;

 Children must be age 9 by October 1, 2015;
younger children by permission of instructor.

Ballet C is for students with at least one or two years of recent ballet training.  Classes focus on building strength, proper placement & alignment, flexibility, good ballet technique, as well as musicality and expressive movement in a fun and supportive class environment.

Mondays 4:50-6:05 pm

September 14, 2015 – May 16, 2016:  30 class weeks

Registration Fee due with first payment; tuition may be paid in one, two, or four payments.

Tuition one payment:  $512 + $25 registration = $537
Tuition two payments:  $256 + $25 registration = $281; $256 (2nd payment)
Tuition four payments:  $128 + $25 registration = $153; $128 (next three payments)

2015 – 2016 Friday Special Class for Ballet C/D/Int I:

Students must be also be enrolled in Ballet C/D/Int to enroll in the Friday class.

24 class weeks September 11, 2015 – May 20, 2016
(with a break for March Performances – see below)
No class October 30, November 27, December 25, January 1.
Break for March Performances:  no class February 12 – April 8.

Tuition may be paid in one, two, or four payments.

Tuition one payment:  $288 
Tuition two payments:  $144; $144 (2nd payment)
Tuition four payments:  $72; $72 (next three payments) 

For 2015-2016, the Friday Special class will include both Character & Modern Dance, and an occasional Ballet floor barre class.  It is open to Ballet C/D/Intermediate I students as an additional weekly class.  The purpose of this class is to expand, inspire, and strengthen the training of our students who are ages 8 and up and who have acquired a solid foundation of ballet. Multiple classes per week help students to build the strength & technique needed to move forward to new vocabulary and experiences of dancing at a more rapid and satisfying pace. All students enrolled in Ballet C/D/Intermediate are strongly encouraged to join this class!  Information on additional attire (character skirts & character shoes, tights for Modern) needed for this class will be posted soon.

What to wear for Ballet C:

Girls:

Required Leotard:

Capezio Style CC202C HUNTER  (children’s sizes)

or CC202 HUNTER leotard (adult sizes).
Note:  This leotard tends to run small.

Required Skirt:

Mirella MS12CH BLACK pull-on skirt
(if child’s size skirt is too small, Mirella MS12 wrap BLACK skirt may be substituted).

Light pink footed ballet tights or thin, plain, cuffed, short white ankle socks.

Light pink ballet shoes (preferably leather) with elastic.

Boys:

White fitted t-shirt (tucked in; not over-sized).

Plain black bike shorts or snug-fitting jazz pants.

White ankle socks (be sure to fit with ballet shoes).

Black ballet shoes with elastic.
