Toot Flute – 6 or 7-week Group Flute Class

Tuesdays (class will be offered 7 weeks; students may attend 6 or 7 weeks)
Time: 4:00 – 4:45 pm
– For ages 5 – 8 (age 5 accepted with parent attending)
– Maximum of 6 students – register early!
Tuition:
$132 + $40 materials fee = $172 (includes toot flute & extras)
$132 + $10 materials fee = $142 (for children who own a toot flute)
Tuition covers six classes; children may attend seven
This mixed-level class introduces children (5-8 yrs old) to instrumental music with a small, lightweight flute called the Toot Flute. After learning sound production, children learn easy songs through listening, singing, copying and iconic notation. Children also learn basic music symbols and rhythmic concepts through games, fun activities and active movement.
• Proof of full Covid vaccination is required for all students for all group classes.

Award-winning flutist, Elizabeth Brightbill, performs in the Crozet-based duo Terra Voce. Prior to moving to Crozet, she held the position of Principal Flute with the Tulsa Philharmonic and Opera orchestras for ten years. She holds the D.M. degree from Indiana University. Elizabeth currently teaches at Longwood University and in her home studio in Crozet.
