For teens & adults who have never studied dance or ballet, or for those who have studied previously but have been away from dance for awhile.  Also appropriate for students with training who want a slower-paced class.  Class begins with gentle stretching and moves on to exercises based on fundamentals of modern dance.  Emphasis will be placed on working to achieve good basic alignment as well as an understanding of the basics of movement, both in place and moving across the floor.  A good complement to Yoga, Pilates, or Theatre classes!

Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for movement and bare feet, ballet shoes, or dance sneakers (shoes worn outside may NOT be worn in the dance studio in order not to damage the dance floor).
