INTERMEDIATE BALLET WORKSHOP
TAUGHT BY: Sharon D. Tolczyk
This workshop will include daily Ballet technique classes, as well as pre-pointe, Modern Dance, Character Dance, Choreography, and Art.  Ballet classes will focus on building ballet vocabulary and strength, with a different focus from day to day.  Art will include making costume parts/hair pieces/props/other art that supports what we are doing in Choreography.  We will have an informal studio showing (very limited audience; hopefully also Zoomed) at the end of the last day of the workshop.  More info about what to wear and bring will be sent to enrolled students.

BALLET WORKSHOP FOR RISING GRADES 2 – 4
TAUGHT BY: Sharon D. Tolczyk
This is an introductory workshop for young dancers with Ballet training.  It will include Ballet classes, Character Dance, Choreography, and Art.  Ballet classes will focus on building ballet vocabulary, technique, and strength.  Choreography will create an informal story performance for our last day, using ideas and choreographic input from the students.  Art will include making costume parts/props/other art for our choreography.  We will have an informal studio showing (very limited audience; hopefully also Zoomed) at the end of the last day of the workshop.  Students should bring a hearty snack, lunch, water bottle, and towel every day.
STUDENTS: Rising Grades 2 -4 (rising 1st with instructor’s permission), with Ballet training
DATES & TIME: June 20 – 24, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
TUITION: $225; Sibling $205 (includes art supplies)

ADVANCED BALLET INTENSIVE
TAUGHT BY: Sharon D. Tolczyk
This workshop is for Intermediate & Advanced Ballet students with a solid (and current) background in Ballet training.  The workshop will include a daily pre-barre/floor barre warm-up followed by a Ballet technique class with a varying focus each day; and, a daily pointe class (may be taken in flat shoes for those not yet on pointe).  Additional classes will include Modern Dance, Character, Variations/Choreography, an intro to teacher training, and other related costume/hair piece design based on student interest.  An open demonstration class at the end of the week may offered for families/friends, TBA.  For students not currently enrolled at Crozet Arts, please email Sharon Tolczyk (CrozetArts@gmail.com) to arrange a placement class.
