INDIGO DYEING WORKSHOP FOR FAMILIES
Two Dates: Saturday, June 10th or June 17th; 9:00 am – Noon
Open to children ages 4 & up, with parent
Instructor: Sarah Zmick
Local fiber artist Sarah Zmick has designed a three-hour indigo dye workshop especially for families! After an introduction to shibori dye-resist techniques, participants will use indigo dye and create their own Japanese- inspired wearables to enjoy all summer long! Materials fee/person includes a bandana and t-shirt to take home (other choices of wearables can be arranged with instructor with a fee adjustment). Families will be contacted by the instructor after registering regarding sizes/choices.
Tuition: $80/parent-child pair; $15 Materials Fee per person (Total = $110)
Additional parent or sibling (limit of 1): $30 tuition + $15 materials
Children under 8 will need parental assistance.

DESIGNING FUNCTIONAL ART WITH JAPANESE TEXTILE TECHNIQUES
Two Dates: June 26 – 30 or July 24 – 28; 1:00 – 4:00 pm
Rising Grades 5 – 8
Instructor: Sarah Zmick
In this weeklong workshop, students will explore a variety of Japanese fiber skills including fabric manipulation and dyeing, surface embellishment, sewing and braiding. Next, they will combine their work in the creation of a one-of- a-kind bag.
