If creativity is seen as a luxury or something we do when we have spare time, it will never be cultivated. Make creating a priority and everything else in your life will work better.

Art Journaling Workshop offers the opportunity for you to carve out time once a week to engage in artistic expression and creative exploration.

You don’t have to consider yourself artistic or even “good” at art to benefit from art journaling. The class is open to all levels of perceived artistic ability, and beginners are especially welcome.

The class teaches mixed media techniques that focus on backgrounds, layering, text, found objects, and focal points.  Most of the time will be spent working independently in your journal.

Please bring your own journal. It can be any size (8×12, 7×10, 5.5×8.5 – are all great options). Journals should be “mixed media” paper (not a drawing or sketching notebook). They can be purchased at The Art Box in Crozet, Michaels, or Walmart. All other materials included.
