Madhavi Reddi has been learning Bharatanatyam for the past 18 years under the guidance of Mrs. Padmarani Rasiah Cantu (Fine Arts Society of Yogaville), and holds an ardent interest in Indian classical dance, music, and culture. Over the years, Madhavi has given over thirty performances at various schools/universities, Indian Assoc. of Charlottesville events, the Indian Embassy in Washington DC, museums, and festivals both in the United States and in India. In June of 2010, she gave her “arangetram” (solo graduation performance) and since then, has continued both performing and conducting workshops. In May of 2014, Madhavi graduated from American University with a degree in Film and Media Arts and hopes to one day create films that promote and preserve the arts and culture of India.
