ART WORKSHOP for Grades 6 – 9

This workshop is designed so that students who participated last summer

may participate again with new projects & experiences!

Students will work on fun projects exploring design, shape, and texture with various media.

We’ll also experiment with brainstorming & ways to generate ideas.

KNITTING & TEXTILE ARTS

for ages 8 & up

July 22 – 25 (Mon – Thurs only):  1:00 – 4:30 pm

Tuition includes snack and supplies:  $150/child

Learn yarn dyeing, finger-knitting, traditional knitting, and wool felting.  We will dye our own wool yarn, knit a small purse, finger-knit a purse strap, then felt the purse to make an artistic, original accessory!  No knitting experience needed.  We will learn a simple garter stitch.

CELLO RE-BOOT CAMP

with Dr. Beth Cantrell

Director, Talent Education at Crozet Arts

August 12 – 16:  9:30 – 1:00 pm

Final concert on Friday @ Noon.

For middle- and high-school-age students.

Tuition:  $175/student

An intensive workshop to prepare middle- /high school-aged cellists for the coming year.

Daily schedule includes technique and scale classes,

master class (private lesson in a group setting), movement, and cello ensemble.

Water and light snacks will be provided.
