Explore basket weaving for the first time, or renew your skills and expand your creativity with added color.
All materials and necessary tools will be provided.
$50.00 per person or per child/adult pair working on a basket together (includes materials)

Laura Mellusi has been crafting and teaching basket weaving for over 17 years. She was born and raised in Kansas where she discovered basketry as a studio art student. In addition to studio art and basket weaving, she has an education in Art History and Museum Studies. Her baskets have been featured in galleries and exhibitions in Kansas, Missouri, and Virginia. Her workshops in the Charlottesville area include Monticello, Tandem Friends School, Junior League of Charlottesville, Fluvanna Middle School, James River Arts Council, Discovery School of Virginia, Sweet Briar College and various home school groups. She currently lives in Scottsville with her husband and three children.
