June 12 – 14 from 9:15 – 11:15 

PK/K:  Ages 3 – 5 (must have turned age 3 by 9-1-2023)
Tuition:  $110 + $5 Registration Fee  = $115; includes materials

Zinnias is a new summer workshop created for pre-school/rising K students.  The workshop will focus around the theme of Zinnia flowers.  Students will participate in class sessions of age-appropriate creative movement and theater games, and create a Zinnia flower to use in a short studio presentation for parents at 11:00 am on Friday.

Rising K – 5th Grade
Tuition:
$165 + $5 reg fee = $170; includes materials
$150 + $5 reg fee = $155 for sibling in same workshop; includes materials

The Art & Theater Workshop engages children in creative experiences in art, theater games, and creative movement. Art & Theater every day; snack with a story in between classes.

$220 + $5 reg fee = $225; includes materials

$185 + $5 reg fee = $190 for sibling in same workshop, same week; includes materials

Our Arts Sampler is a fun and enriching workshop that offers children a chance to explore and experience Art, Theater Games, Creative Movement, and Music, emphasizing engagement and creative process.  Children may work in age-differentiated groups or together.  The schedule includes Art & Theater every day, supplemented by Creative Movement or Music.  Breaks for snack and stories will be outside under the trees (weather permitting).  The workshop is designed so that children who have participated in previous summers may participate again with new projects & experiences.

June 17 – 21 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm
Rising Grades K – 5
Tuition:  $230 + $20 materials +$5 reg fee = $255

Explore the fabulous world of visual art through an array of multi-media projects. Students will create in a variety of platforms including painting, printmaking, collage and sculpture. Projects will weave art history, technique, elements and principles of design as well as a big dollop of creativity and fun.

June 24 – 28 from 9:15 am – 12:15 pm
Rising Grades K – 5
Tuition:  $230 + $20 materials +$5 reg fee = $255

Projects will weave art history, technique, elements and principles of design as well as a big dollop of creativity and fun.

June 24– 28 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Rising Grades 1 – 8

This is an interdisciplinary workshop focused on creating a short original production with choreography/vignettes centered around a different focus/theme for each workshop; students may participate in one or both weeks.  Students will learn verse and movement/choreography in small groups or as an ensemble, and create art, props, and costume pieces to use in performance (and take home!). Lunch & breaks outside under the trees (weather permitting).  For students with or without previous ballet training, with an interest in ballet/movement/theater/art. Students will be grouped according to experience level/ages.

Studio Performance for families at 3:15 on Friday.

Tuition:$360 + $15 Art Supplies + $5 reg fee = $380

Drawing, painting and all things making! Your budding artist will tap into their creativity in this

delightful intro to art, build confidence, and gain foundation skills that will last a lifetime. While

exploring a variety of media and styles, this camp focuses on the elements of art and the

process of design. Each day features new techniques and projects, complete with an art exhibit

on the final day to showcase their masterpieces!

July 1 – 5 from 9:15 – 3:15

Intermediate & Advanced level Ballet students (for Middle- & High School & Adults)
(placement required for students not  enrolled at Crozet Arts)

Tuition:  $360 + $5 = $365

This workshop is for Intermediate & Advanced Ballet students with a solid (and current) background in Ballet training. The workshop will include a daily pre-barre/floor barre warm- up followed by a Ballet technique class with a varying focus each day; and, a daily pointe class (may be taken in flat shoes for those not yet on pointe). Additional classes will include Variations/Repertoire/student Choreography/others based on student interest. An open demonstration class at the end of the week may offered for families/friends. Sunday,  July 7th from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm (this one-day workshop is based at Crozet Arts)

Experience the challenges and the joys of drawing in this 6-week, Wednesday evening class. Introducing beginners and others to the basic, essential incremental steps for drawing confidently from observation (and imagination too). We will explore a small range of drawing materials including graphite pencil, conte’, pen & ink, and ink wash as we employ some of the very best traditional and contemporary drawing strategies. Loads of helpful handouts as well as group and personal feedback.
