A four-week art class session for Grades K-5 that introduces kids to color, materials, and art process. Kids will be introduced to both traditional and contemporary portraiture all while having important discussions about different types of art and the importance of personal expression! In addition, we will be creating a collaborative piece to donate to Crozet Arts.  Come be a part of the Hi Art Crew and get ready to have fun!

What to bring: Clothes you don’t mind getting paint on and a water bottle (there are no drinking fountains in the building).

MadeleineRhondeau

Madeleine Rhondeau is from Crozet, Virginia and graduated from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia with a B.A. in Studio Art. Painting is her primary medium, through which she investigates the issues of adolescent memory and female psychology. Her exploration of digital media is a secondary form of expression that has allowed her to pursue art through the lens of mixed-media. In addition to her B.A. in Studio Art, Madeleine has a completed B.A. in Historic Preservation and a minor in Urban Studies. Madeleine is currently working as the Digital Services Coordinator for the Thomas Jefferson Foundation at MonticelloShe resides in Charlottesville, Virginia.
