Drawing for Teens: Drawing Drama like a Pro
Taught by JOHN A. HANCOCK, an AP studio art judge and senior judge for the North Carolina Governors Schools with almost 30 years experience both as a college drawing instructor and working with HS age students.
Saturdays: 1:00 – 4:00 pm
5 weeks: April 16 – May 14, 2016
For High School students and, with instructor’s permission, mature, experienced older Middle Schoolers.
Tuition: $179 + $4 registration = $183
Students registering late and beginning April 23rd will be given a $25 discounted tuition of $154 + $4 registration = $158
CLASS DESCRIPTION: Teens, taking cues from comic books, street art, graphic novels, and cinematography, will explore traditional techniques and contemporary strategies for creating dramatic drawings. Students will get a chance to work with wet and/or dry media in large, un-expected, or sequential formats. Tuition covers every supply needed except for a small sketchpad.
