SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL sidewalk construction has begun – click here for Crozet Arts PARKING INFO during construction!

Tuesday, March 9th:

The Safe Routes to School project along Crozet Avenue began today
(info sent to Crozet Arts from Albemarle County General Services about the project):

“On or about March 2, 2015 construction on the County’s Safe Routes to Schools project will start.  The project is anticipated to last into June.  The project entails the installation of a curb and sidewalk on the west side of Crozet Avenue from Ballard Drive to Crozet Elementary School.  In support of the project, the contractor will be using a portion of the property, to include some parking, at the Old Crozet School as a staging area.  The County’s Project Manager will be coordinating with the contractor to work out the details and to ensure every effort is made to minimize the impact to your operations. “

The parking area affected by the construction vehicles/materials is the upper parking area
vis-a-vis the Crozet Arts mailbox.  This eliminates some parking on the left side of the building.

THEREFORE:
For the duration of the project we will use BOTH side entrances to Crozet Arts,
located on the right and left sides of the building.   Students & families may park near either entrance,
and access Crozet Arts from either the left or right side of the school.

The sidewalk will be a true asset to Crozet Arts when it is finished!
However, in the meantime, there will be the parking inconvenience….
Thanks very much for your understanding.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

THANK YOU.

Sharon
