A 3-week introductory session for students without previous Pilates experience

or for those with some experience looking for a refresher class.

Deepen your breath, find your center, and strengthen and lengthen your muscles in this Stott Pilates mat class.  Classes include a progression of choreographed movements that challenge you safely.

Ashley Sheets has been practicing Pilates for fifteen years and began her teacher training four years ago.  After completing Beginner Mat teacher training with Power Pilates, she was drawn to move deeper into the Pilates method and continue her training with Stott Pilates.  She believes that Stott’s contemporary approach to fitness, which incorporates the latest knowledge from physical therapy and sports medicine, provides a safe and anatomically sound strategy to improve well-being.  Ashley is a Stott apprentice instructor in matwork and continues her studies with apparatus work.  She plans to complete her studies and the certification exam within the next year.  Besides her Pilates practice, Ashley enjoys walking, hiking, and spending time with her dogs and family.

What to Wear for Exploring Movement:

Girls: Plain leotard, any color & style.   Optional: attached or separate plain skirts.

No tights or shoes (bare feet).

Boys: White t-shirt & plain stretchy shorts. No tights or shoes (bare feet).

Spring Chamber Strings

Wednesdays 7:00 – 8:15 pm

For Teens & Adults of  advanced‐beginner to intermediate playing level (Suzuki 3 – 6).
Tuition: $97 + $5 Registration Fee

This class offers string players an opportunity to explore advanced-beginner to intermediate level chamber music (quartets and trios) in a relaxed and friendly group setting. Classes will also include tips on developing better technique, ensemble playing, and group tone quality. An informal performance may be arranged, depending on the interest of the participants.

Boomie Pedersen was born and raised in NYC. She has lived in NY; Tokyo, Japan; Los Angeles, CA and now lives in Crozet with two, sometimes three, of her six children. She has a dance background, holds a BA in English and Theater from Princeton University, and has worked in the theater most of her life. Most recently she has taught Improv at North Branch School, theater at Renaissance School, acting and directing at Randolph College. She is currently the Co-Artistic Director of the Hamner Theater in Nelson County where she has directed, produced and acted in over a dozen productions.  Click here to read more about Boomie at the Hamner Theater website.
